Description
The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50 Series is a higher-end memory device that provides business-grade security with FIPS 197-certified 256-bit AES hardware encryption in XTS mode.
The Vault Privacy 50 memory supports the option of multiple passwords (administrator, user and one-time recovery password) with compound password or password expression modes. This increases the chances of regaining access to data when one of the passwords is forgotten.
To protect against potential malware on untrusted systems, both administrator and user can set a read-only mode, which protects the drive from writing; a built-in virtual keyboard also protects passwords from keylogger or screenlogger software.
The VP50 series memory devices allow organizations to personalize and configure them using a product identifier (PID) to integrate with standard endpoint management software. This helps meet corporate IT and cybersecurity requirements as part of Kingston's product personalization program.
Small and midsize businesses can use the administrator function to manage memory devices locally, such as to configure or reset user passwords or one-time recovery passwords for employees, to regain access to data on locked media, and to ensure compliance with laws and regulations when forensics is needed.
  • Hardware-encrypted USB flash drive for data protection
Protect your important data with FIPS 197-certified 256-bit XTS-AES encryption. Built-in protection against BadUSB vulnerability and Brute Force attacks, as well as test-proven penetration resistance for enterprise-grade security.
  • Data recovery with multiple password option
Ability to activate administrator, user and one-time recovery passwords. The administrator can reset the user password and create a one-time recovery password to restore user access to data. When ten invalid passwords are entered in a row, the brute force protection function blocks user passwords or one-time recovery passwords, and performs cryptographic disk wiping if an invalid administrator password is entered ten times in a row.
  • Password expression mode
Ability to select compound password or password expression mode. A password expression can be a PIN number, a sentence with spaces, a list of words, or even song lyrics - from 10 to 64 characters in length.
  • Two read-only mode settings (write protection)
To avoid malware attacks, a forced read-only mode, set by the administrator for the user, or a session-only mode, set by the administrator or user, can be used.
  • Local storage management for small and medium-sized businesses
Using the administrator role, you can locally manage user passwords and one-time recovery passwords, regain access to data on locked disks, and stay compliant with laws and regulations in the event of an investigation.
  • Additional security features
Reduce the number of failed login attempts by displaying the password being entered when the "eye" button is activated. Virtual keyboard protects entered passwords from keyloggers and screenloggers.
